Wood grip stock, and iron flintlock tinder lighter dates to the 18th century. Most every home in Colonial America had one of these to provide light in the darkness of night.

Storage compartment on side of body has door with clasp that turns to close. Flintlock mechanism fully functions.

Overall, item is in excellent condition. Wood grip has very slight scratches or dings. Iron has a nice patina with some darkened areas and spotting. No markings.  Body measures approx. 7” long.  [sm]
