Weapon is in overall very nice condition. Walnut grips have military cartouche on one side. Small chip missing at bottom facing forward. Gun metal color throughout except near the muzzle where there is still some signs of bluing. Case hardened hammer still has some color left to it. Action is very good. Cylinder indexes fine. Screw heads show a little wear but not bad. Top of loading lever has hollowed out channel so cylinder bolt can slide forward without having to lower the lever. In the new model the loading lever was solid. Bore is good. Barrel markings are worn but readable. When at full cock the cylinder is tight with very little, if any, movement. All nipples are present and in good shape. Serial number is 2233 on loading lever and frame. Not many of these weapons were made. Production is limited to 1862. [ad]
