Serial No. 796. Produced 1866-73. Total quantity estimated 16500. Top barrel marking: “SOUTHERNER”, with company marking left side. 41 Cal. Rimfire spur-trigger, single-shot. 2.5” octagonal blued barrel pivots sideways to load. Brass frame silver finished, flat butted walnut grips. Casehardened frame. Hammer and pivot loading action is excellent. Metal exterior exhibits slight wear, while retaining good color. All markings moderately crisp, and entirely legible. Hammer and pivot loading actions are excellent. Bore is dusty with slight rust. Else VG plus and highly attractive. Solid collectible. One sweetheart of a “Southerner” Derringer.  [jp]
