Pistol is in good condition overall. The barrel meas. approx. 6.00 inches in length. Bore is dirty and needs cleaned. Caliber is .58. The barrel has a nice oiled finish and no pitting. The underside of the barrel has the mounted type swivel ramrod.

The hammer has the same finish as the barrel but the lockplate shows some mottling and signs of having been buffed at one time. Forward of the hammer are the markings “POTTS & HUNT / LONDON” in two lines. The action is crisp and works well. Original nipple is present.

Solid walnut wood stock is in very nice condition and shows some minor dings. Left side of stock has a long iron bar for attaching to belt. Triggerguard is brass as is the grip backstrap which ends in a round disk and ring on the flat butt. Screw heads on trigger guard and lock show light wear.

Overall this is a nice single shot pistol that would work well in any firearm display.  [ad]
