Serial number 101880. Made 1860-68, total production 117,000. .22 short rimfire caliber revolver, 7 shot non-fluted cylinder. 3-3/16octagonal barrel. Rosewood grips, square butt, silver plated brass frame, spur trigger. Standard barrel marking: “Smith & Wesson Springfield Mass” Three patent cylinder dates, 1855, 1859, 1863. Metal parts exhibit smooth consistent gray patina, with slight scratching. Grips display minor dings consistent with age & usage. Crisp cocking and cylinder indexing. Bore exhibits light pitting. Else VG. Solid, handsome piece.
