ALLEN & WHEELOCK SIDEHAMMER REVOLVER

$550.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 809-06

This a .32 caliber Moore revolver from National Arms Company, Brooklyn New York. This is the “teat fire” revolver, one style of several that were designed to get around the Smith & Wesson rimfire patents. This has a 3 ¼” round barrel, six shot cylinder, silver plated brass frame, and walnut grips. Heavily engraved on frame; lesser amounts on barrel. The National Arms stamp and patent information can be clearly viewed on the top of the barrel and around the back edge of the cylinder, although in very small type. Serial number, 3510 found on the underside of the barrel. Bore is clear with good rifling. Walnut grips are nice, frame in good condition with 99% of silver plate remaining. Barrel and cylinder retain most of their original bluing. Mechanics are strong and crisp. This revolver fired the patented “teatfire” copper cartridge.  [jet]
