Serial number 13623, manufactured in 1862. Five shot, .36 caliber percussion revolver, with round 6.5” barrel, fluted cylinder, sliver plated brass backstraps and one-piece walnut grips. Standard barrel markings, including “Address Col Saml Colt New-York U.S America.” Matching serial numbers (wedge included). Metal parts exhibit pleasing medium gray patina, grips display minor nicks consistent with age and usage. Crisp indexing action. Bore somewhat dusty. Else VG plus and handsome. [jp]
