Pistol has a heavy brass barrel that meas. approx. 3.75 inches long and is approx. .44 caliber. The underside of the barrel has four English proof marks. Brass surface has a light patina.

Receiver is boxlike in shape with engraved thistles and floral arrangements on the side. Top has the frizzen and hammer with flint. Frizzen works properly. Hammer holds half-cock but it balks at full-cock and does not hold. Trigger is of the disappearing type.

Thick wood grip has an iron tack pattern on both sides. Wood shows wear and has several small cracks.  [AD]
