$695.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 998-06

These interesting revolvers were made at the Plant Manufacturing Company in New Haven, CT. Merwin & Bray where the company’s agents and financiers.

This is a Plant revolver, third model, with brass frame. Brass retains majority of silver wash. Serial #1068 is found on the butt strap. Light maker's stamp with address on top of barrel, “Plant’s Mfg. Co. New Haven, CT.” Strong “Merwin & Bray” stamp on left side of barrel. Clear patent stamp on cylinder. Grips good.

Mechanics need work; cylinder indexes well but hammer does not hold at half- or full-cock. Cartridge ejector rod intact.

Overall a real nice secondary Civil War revolver that used patented cupfire cartridges.  [jet]
