MODEL 1849 COLT POCKET REVOLVER

$1,495.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 1000-455

This .31 caliber pocket Colt is serial number 188611 and was produced in the first half of 1861. The weapon is in overall nice condition. All surfaces have a uniform appearance with very little pitting if any. Some original blue on barrel. All numbers match including the wedge.

The octagonal barrel is 4” long with a good readable stamp, “ADDRESS COL. SAML. COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA”. Front bead sight is present.  The 5-shot cylinder has all of the original nipples with much of the cylinder scene present. Safety pins are not smashed down. Action is strong and works properly. Cylinder is tight at full-cock. Frame has a “COLT’S PATENT” stamping in two lines on the left side. All screw heads are in good condition. Trigger guard and grip frames retain some silver finish. Perhaps 40%. Wood grips remain in very good condition.

A nice example of the M1849 Colt.  [jet]
