Made from about 1871-1877 this revolver is .22 with a 2 3/8 inch barrel.

Barrel is nickel plated and decorated on each side with a grape arbor type decoration. The top of the barrel has a strong two line stamping flanked by Maltese crosses. Stamping reads “COLT’S PAT. F. A. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.” Bore is dark but has good rifling.

Seven shot cylinder is also nickel plated and has stop slots along its forward edge. Engraved decoration is fern like with a linear base. Weapon operates properly and is a bit tight. Hammer is blued.

Frame appears to be silver plated and is heavily decorated on both sides with a scrollwork design. Plating shows some light wear.

Grips look to be mother of pearl and are bird head in shape.

Serial number 17631 is stamped under the barrel and at bottom of grip frame. All frame screws are in very nice condition.  [ad]
