NAMED BROOKLYN ARMS COMPANY “SLOCUM” REVOLVER

$800.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 1036-10

This revolver was manufactured between 1863 to 1864. The specimen we offer here is serial number 4202 of approx. 10,000. This is a .32 caliber weapon with a 5-shot cylinder and a 3-inch round barrel. Each cylinder is an individual unit and will manually slide forward for loading and ejecting the rim fire cartridge. Frame is made of brass and has a scroll decoration. Walnut grips have more of a bag then a bird head shape. Barrel is nicely marked on top “B.A. CO. PATENTED APRIL 14, 1863.” Bore has good rifling.

The overall condition of this piece is good. The silver plating has worn off the frame leaving only some hints of it behind and no bluing remains on the barrel. Action is crisp and clean and each cylinder moves as it should. Brass grip frame is engraved “J. BELL.”  [ad]
