Weapon is 30-06 and is a World War Two rebuild done at the Augusta Arsenal as evidenced by the “AAM” stamped on the left side of the stock.

All metal surfaces have a parkerized finish. Barrel is dated October 1918. Receiver has nice strong stamping that reads “U.S. / MODEL OF 1917 / EDDYSTONE.” Serial number is 1368561. Bolt action is smooth. Safety and bolt extraction work well. Rear site has flip up leaf with all moveable parts. Bore is clean and in good condition.

Stock is in good condition with only minor wear consistent with age. No major dings or dents. As mentioned above the left side of the stock is stamped with “AAM.” The nose of the stock is stamped with a “T.” The stock has other markings scattered around such as a proof “P” behind the triggerguard, a small “RA” on the left cheek of the stock and a large and a small “M” approx. 1.50 inches apart on the bottom edge of the cheek.

Rifle comes with a nice reproduction of a 1944 Boyt sling.
