Walnut stock is in good condition with light wear from use and age. Action works well. Lock has eagle above “US” forward of the hammer and “Springfield 1847” behind the hammer. All stampings are good. There are no inspector cartouches visible in the wood opposite the lock.  Top of barrel has “VP” and eagle head with date of 1847. All metal surfaces are bright with light discoloration from age. Both sling swivels are present, as is original ramrod. Very clean bore.
