Nice clear and sharp photograph, mat-mounted in a dark oak frame of a tour group taken at the High Water Mark monument on the Gettysburg battlefield, October 19th 1908. This image is marked in period white colored ink by the photographer, reading:
“No 8598. Marsters and Naso-Russell, Co. Tourists / At High Water Mark. Gettysburg, Pa. Oct 19th 1908. / M. P. Williams / Photo.”
The photograph is still in its original frame with a period wood panel back and hanging wire. The outer frame measurements are: 24” x 18 ½” The exposed image measurements are: 16 ¼” x 10 ½”.
