Relic is the side portion of a 3 inch Read shell. Fragment includes a portion of the nose which still exhibits threads for the fuse. Item meas. approx. 3.50 inches long x 1.75 inches at its widest section. Item was recovered near Rock Creek at the base of Culp’s Hill. Needs cleaning.
