Pre-printed invitation from the Governor of the State of Pennsylvania and the Commission of the75th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg to attend the festivities from June 29-July 6, 1938. The top of the paper is embossed with a full color rendition of the Anniversary Committees logo with printing done in a wonderful script. The area of the invitee name is blank. Item is in wonderful condition and comes with the original envelope.

This invitation was procured from the Rosensteel family who are well-known for their collection of artifacts from, and related to, the battle of Gettysburg which formed the nucleus of the present day National Park collection.
