Face only of a two piece coat sized North Carolina state seal button. Face is solid but bottom edge is curled. There is also much discoloration on the surface. No back is present.
A modern label with the button says it was recovered by the late John Cullison iin the area of Pickett’s Charge at Gettysburg.
