Excavated example of a General Staff Officers eagle coat button recovered from the Culp’s Hill action at Gettysburg. This specimen measures 22mm in diameter and retains its original (Bent) shank. Obverse of this button contains approximately 70% of its original gold gilt surface with a “Push” or dent to the center shield area. The back mark is D.EVANS & Co ATTLEBORO MASS.
