This riker box display contains a dropped Union three ring Minie ball and a dropped Confederate Gardner bullet. Also in the box is a Pattern 1826 Eagle Breast Plate meant for wear on the sling of the Union soldier’s cartridge box. This plate is from the famous Rosensteel collection which formed the basis for the present Gettysburg National Military Park collection. Face is discolored and eagle stamping is a little light. Plate has slight concave bend to it. Back has 100% lead fill and museum number. No hooks.
