A nice example of a dug U.S. infantry eagle button in 18mm. This specimen exhibits high surface details of the eagle design with an oxidized back ground. The shank is present (but bent) and the makers mark reads: SCOVILL MFG. Co WATERBURY. In raised letters within a depressed channel. Button was recovered at the Wheatfield site in Gettysburg.
