TIPTON STEREO VIEW OF OAK HILL, GETTYSBURG

$135.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: P13269

Image is mounted on yellow stock. One edge is marked “ARTISTIC STEREO GEMS OF GETTYSBURG SCENERY” and the other states that the image is by W. H. Tipton.

The view was taken from a point on the Mummasburg Road just east of the lane leading to the McLean Farm. Visible are the woods atop Oak Hill and the area where the Peace Light Memorial now stands, the McLean farmhouse and barn and the rail fence running up the lane to the farm.

The view is number 825 and is captioned “OAK HILL.” The contrast of the image is good and the mount is clean. Reverse is blank.
