Once part of the Rosensteel Collection at the Gettysburg National Military Park is relic leather specimen that was once part of a shot flask carried by American hunters in the nineteenth century. All that remains of the small flask is its leather pouch. Missing is the entire brass charger and spout assembly at the top. The cylindrical leather device measures 5” long x 1 ½” wide and has side stitching that is strong and intact. Leather is in good overall condition but is scuffed with light crazing. Shows ragged stitching where the brass charger and spout were located at the top. A vintage leather relic shot flask from 19th century America.
