Item Code: 729-104

This spheroid tin canteen is in good condition overall and meas. approx. 6.50 inches across. All three sling keepers and the spout are present. The keepers are long and thin while the spout has a folded rim. The body of the canteen has only one or two minor dents and has a nice olive patina with heavier patina around the edges. The canteen comes with an old replaced cloth sling and cork. There are no visible pinholes in the tin and all seams are tight.

Attached to the body of the canteen is an old catalog description that mentions a tag that read “CS TIN SPHEROID CANTEEN …. PURCHASED IN GETTYSBURG 1942 AT JENNY WADE RELIC SHOP.” This old tag is now gone but the catalog description preserves the text.
