This iron canister ball is in good clean condition. It meas. approx. 1.50 inches across. Canister rounds were the deadliest artillery round of the Civil War and were used to break up many infantry assaults especially Pickett’s Charge.

This item was recovered on Seminary Ridge by the late John Cullison who passed it on to the Rosensteel family where it became part of their well-known collection of Gettysburg artifacts.
