These little cedar wood cannons were popular souvenirs of the 1930’s, 40’s and 50’s. This one comes mounted on a flat base that meas. approx. 3.75 inches long x 2.25 inches wide. The wheels are made out of two solid blocks of wood and meas. approx. 1.50 inches across x 1.50 inches high. The barrel is hollowed out half its length and meas. approx. 3.25 inches long from muzzle to cascabel. The barrel is also stamped “GETTYSBURG, PA/JULY 1, 2, 3, 1863.” The trail of the gun slants from below the breech to the wood base.
The item is very clean and in good condition.
