This little folder has red cloth covers that are heavily decorated with embossed gold and black designs. At center in bold gold stamping is “VIEWS OF THE GETTYSBURG BATTLEFIELD.” The lettering is done in a very decorative fashion with serifs and floral adornments. The border around the edges has a decoration of flowers and stars as well as small mosaic panels. This front cover is very clean with bright colors and exhibits only one small chip in the lower right hand corner. The back cover is plain. These little folders are hardly ever encountered in this clean of a condition.
The interior is as clean as the exterior and has several fold-out pages that must contain at least 100 different images of the battlefield and its monuments.
Very nice early Gettysburg souvenir.
