This relic was recovered by a local Gettysburg family (Gilbert) on their farm along the Taneytown Road after the battle of Gettysburg.

The item is an iron spanner plug of the type used with the Bormann fuse. It has a light coat of surface rust throughout. Item is complete and solid.
