This relic was recovered by a local Gettysburg family (Gilbert) on their farm along the Taneytown Road after the battle of Gettysburg.

The item is a Lambert pattern tourniquet buckle that is complete with all three pieces and in very good relic condition. There is some light surface rust throughout along with some light pitting. One of the keepers still moves while the other is frozen. These are usually recovered from battlefield sites in very poor rusted condition but this one is better than usual.
