This relic was recovered by a local Gettysburg family (Gilbert) on their farm along the Taneytown Road after the battle of Gettysburg.

The item is an iron Civil War canteen pull ring minus the cork stopper. It has a light coat of surface rust throughout. Item is complete and solid.
