This relic was recovered by a local Gettysburg family (Gilbert) on their farm along the Taneytown Road after the battle of Gettysburg.
The item is a hook made out of flattened brass with three rivets for attaching to a belt or officer’s belt shoulder strap. Item meas. approx. 2.25 inches long. Surfaces have a light patina
