Relics were recovered on Pickett’s Charge field by John Cullison, a local Gettysburg resident, who excavated relics on the field from 1935-1959.

Cullison sold his collection to the famed Gettysburg Rosensteel family, who held these relics in their private collection until released in 1996.

The items in the relic box include: a fired “Picket” Sharpsshooter bullet, CS Richmond Sharps bullet, US .44 caliber Batholow bullet for Colt Army revolver, intact Williams Cleaner bullet, two Enfiled .577 caliber bullets, Spencer bullet with fragment of case (with fired case), two fired CS .58 caliber two-ring Gardner bullets, CS handmade .69 Musket ball, US .58 caliber Star in Base minie ball, fired US Sharps bullet, two US .54 caliber minie balls for Austrian Lorenz or Model 1841 Rifle, two CS .58 caliber nose cast minie balls, and a CS .577 Enfield bullet with Box wood plug intact.
