Acquired directly from a member of the Plank family, this farm is located on the Taneytown Rd. adjacent to the Jacob Weikert Farm, which was used as a field hospital. This land was once owned by Jacob, who deeded it to his son Emanuel. The land was later farmed by a Plank. The 1910 US census shows Emanuel residing on the farm at age of 79, with one of his neighbors being L. David Plank (listed in the 1920 census as David L. Plank), occupation farmer.
