Relics recovered on Pickett’s Charge field by local Gettysburg resident John Cullison, who excavated relics on the field from 1935-1959. Cullison sold his collection to the famed Gettysburg Rosensteel family, whole held these relics in their private collection until released in 1996.

Relic box includes:

  • two fired .58 caliber C.S. Gardner Minie Balls
  • two fragments of lead sabot
  • three fired Minie Balls
  • base to a .52 caliber Spencer cartridge for a rifle or carbine
  • fired and deformed U.S. Williams Cleaner bullet
  • fired .69 caliber musket ball
  • four fired and deformed Minie Balls
  • C.S. spherical shell fragment
  • U.S. spherical shell fragment.
