This is a nice little display of approx. 12 stalks of wheat gathered by the late Robert Lloyd of Pittsburgh, Pa. The wheat was picked by Mr. Lloyd while in Gettysburg for part of his honeymoon in 1943.
Stalks vary in size from 3.00 inches to 12.75 inches long. Eight of the stalks still have their heads.
An old paper label displayed with the wheat reads “1943-FROM THE WHEATFIELD GETTYSBUR, PA.”
