Relics recovered on Pickett’s Charge field by local Gettysburg resident John Cullison, who excavated relics on the field from 1935-1959. Cullison sold his collection to the famed Gettysburg Rosensteel family, whole held these relics in their private collection until released in 1996.

Relic box includes:

  • remnant of a soldier’s camp knife
  • fired .52 caliber Sharps bullet
  • three .58 caliber Minie Balls
  • U.S. Williams Cleaner bullet
  • five fired and mushroomed .58 caliber Minie Balls
  • intact .52 caliber Spencer cartridge for rifle or carbine
  • two .577 caliber Enfield bullets
  • two .58 caliber C.S. nose cast Minie Balls
  • fired and deformed .69 caliber musket ball
  • three fired .58 caliber C.S. Gardner Minie Balls
  • fired .44 caliber pistol ball for Colt Army Revolver.
