Relics recovered on Pickett’s Charge field by local Gettysburg resident John Cullison, who excavated relics on the field from 1935-1959. Cullison sold his collection to the famed Gettysburg Rosensteel family, whole held these relics in their private collection until released in 1996.

The box contains the following:

Large section, perhaps a quarter of a US or CS spherical shell

2 case shot balls

Front plate from an artillery limber lock

Half of a copper sabot from a CS read shell

2 dropped Enfield bullets

Camp knife

.69 musket ball

Dropped .44 Bartholow pistol bullet

Fired Spencer bullet

Fired Williams cleaner bullet

Camp spoon

2 dropped .58 minie balls

2 iron case shot.

 

All items are in good relic condition.
