This sheet brass plate has a convex surface and clipped corners. The face is devoid of any decorations and there is a shallow dent on one side. The reverse retains one of two keepers and is marked with a museum accession number. The entire plate has a light patina.
This item comes from the well-known Rosensteel Family Collection which formed the basis for the present day Gettysburg National Park collection.
