Relics were recovered at the Codori Farm by John Cullison, a local Gettysburg resident, who excavated relics on the field from 1935-1959.

Codori Farm was the final convergence point for the Virginia Regiments in the Charge, to mass for the final assault on the Copse of Trees. It is located just 200 yards from the Angle. At this point, the Confederates were in range for the Union muskets, rifles, case shot, and canisters.

After Pickett’s Charge, 583 Confederates were buried at Codori Farm. The farm and its building still stand today.

Cullison sold his collection to the famed Gettysburg Rosensteel family, who held these relics in their private collection until released in 1996.

The items in the relic box include: three US case shot, .69 US minie ball fired by a member of the PA reserve, two fired US .577 Enfield bullets, US .52 caliber Joselyn Carbine bullet, two fired .69 caliber musket balls, three fired US .58 caliber minie balls, two US .54 caliber minie balls from 1841 Rifle or Austrian Lorenze Rifle, two Colt Navy revolver .36 caliber balls, two Colt Army revolver .44 caliber balls, and two US .58 caliber minie balls.
