U.S. model 1855 bayonet scabbard tip shows very light surface oxidation. Recovered by noted local relic hunter John Cullison from the Valley of Death, who excavated relics on the battlefield from 1935-1959; Cullison sold his collection to the famed Gettysburg Rosensteel family, who held the primary collection of Gettysburg artifacts.
