GETTYSBURG SOUVENIR CANE, DEVIL’S DEN WOOD

$135.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: M24683

Cane was made with wood gathered on the battlefield of Gettysburg at Devil’s Den. These canes are often referred to as “Veterans” canes and were made by local people for sale at reunions and local Gettysburg events. The wood was harvested from different locations on the battlefield, carved into canes, and then burned with different decorations.

Cane measures 37 inches long. The top five inches still retains some of the original bark that has smoothed over time from handling and use.

The wood retains a nice light finish and all of the art is visible.
