Softcover book meas. approx. 5.75 x 7.50 inches and runs 44 pages. Front cover has a full-color 3rd Division, 2nd Corps badge at center with a title in blue lettering that reads “THE 126th NEW YORK INFANTRY AT GETTYSBURG.”
This small pamphlet covers the excursion of the regiment to the battlefield on October 3, 1888. Also included is the text of the speech given when their monument was dedicated and a synopsis of the regiment’s actions at Gettysburg.
Pamphlet is in good condition, is clean and readable. Frontispiece has an engraving of Colonel Eliakim Sherrill who was killed in action at Gettysburg.
