Recovered from the Wheatfield woods on the Gettysburg Battlefield by local Gettysburg resident John Cullison, who excavated relics on the field from 1935-1959. Cullison sold his collection to the famed Gettysburg Rosensteel family, who held the primary collection of Gettysburg artifacts.

Bayonet was for a .58 caliber rifle musket. It is in very good relic condition with light rust and pitting, with some surface dirt present. Pound marks are present on the top of the socket.
