$67.50 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: R21953

This is an excavated soldier’s candle stick holder. Iron is heavily rusted and uncoated. Solid with no flaking and only minor pitting. Spike on bottom is intact. Recovered in the 1960s, on Culp’s Hill at Gettysburg.

This relic was once part of the Iva Rosensteel collection. Mrs. Rosensteel is the sister of George Rosensteel, who started the Electric Map museum in Gettysburg. Eventually, this grape shot became a part of the Rider collection in Gettysburg; which remained in the family until The Horse Soldier purchased the collection in June 2016.    [jet]
