Quantity Available: None

Item Code: R22166

Excavated iron canister plate. This is the thin top plate from a 3” canister round. One edge has a small bend. The iron is rusted and needs to be coated.

This piece was recovered in the 1960s from the Wheatfield area, south of The Loop.

This relic was once part of the Iva Rosensteel collection. Mrs. Rosensteel is the sister of George Rosensteel, who started the Electric Map museum in Gettysburg. Eventually, it became a part of the Rider collection in Gettysburg, which remained in the family until The Horse Soldier purchased the collection in June 2016.   [jet]
