Two piece brass medal features a top hangar with lettering that reads, “JULY*1*2*3 1863 GETTYSBURG VETERAN”. Suspended from hangar is a round medal with the image of the New York Memorial and reads, “1863 1893”. Reverse has an image of the state seal of New York, and the lettering, “DEDICATION OF STATE MONUMENTS AT GETTYSBURG, JULY 1,2,3, 1893, NEW YORK DAY”.
Reverse of top hangar has original pin, which fully functions. Entire length measures approx. 3”. [sm]
