This is a nice, vintage booklet, printed in 1957, which gives an overview of the three days of the battle. It was written by W.C. Storrick, who was the superintendent of the battlefield guides. Mr. Storrick was raised in Gettysburg. He was seven years old at the time of the battle, and remembered the flight as the armies approached, then returning home to find the house had been occupied by soldiers. He was present for the Gettysburg Address, where he shook Lincoln’s hand.
Book includes a map and various scenes from Gettysburg.
Text contains 80 pages. Measures 5 ½” x 8”. Very good condition with no loose pages. [ld]
