Very fine condition aerial view print of Gettysburg drawn by Thaddeus Mortimer Fowler and published by T.M. Flowler & A.E. Downs in 1888. The map from 1888 included labeled streets, buildings and railroad lines, and also insert illustrations of the following:

 

1. View from Cemetery Ridge, “The High Water Mark”

2. General views of the First Day’s battlefield; spot where Reynolds was killed

3. View of Seminary Ridge

4. View of the Round Tops from Plum Run

5. National Cemetery

6. View from Little Round Top

7. Lee’s Headquarters

8. Meade’s Headquarters

 

Also illustration of monuments and markers, public buildings, schools, churches and various locations on the battlefield.

Nice perspective original map not drawn to scale. Panoramic map drawn from the northwest side of town.

Original wood frame in very fine condition; minor scuff marks. Glass & mat modern. Map has some minor folds and some minor foxing to paper. No tears or holes! Print measures 24 ¾” x 17 ¾”. Frame measures 33 5/8” x 27 ¾”.    [ws]
