Silver coin features an image of both a Union and Confederate soldier, surrounded by the words, “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, BLUE AND GRAY REUNION”. Reverse has images of both the U.S. flag and Confederate flag in the shape of shields with the wording, “IN GOD WE TRUST, 1938 HALF DOLLAR”. Lettering around edge reads, “1863* 75th ANNIVERSARY *1938, BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG”.
Measures 1 1/8” in diameter.
This is a nice vintage Gettysburg keepsake. [SM]
