Brass Hotchkiss fuse adapter measuring approximately 2” long. From a fired shell. Head is flanged with a screwdriver slot and measures about 1 1/8” in diameter. Threads run about 5/8” down the body. Nice bright green patina with dirt still clinging. Recovered on Ralph Simpson farm (Daniel Lady farm) along Route 116, east of Benner Hill.

This relic was once part of the Iva Rosensteel collection. Mrs. Rosensteel is the sister of George Rosensteel, who started the Electric Map museum in Gettysburg. Eventually, it became a part of the Rider collection in Gettysburg, which remained in the family until The Horse Soldier purchased the collection in June 2016.   [jet]
